Well, one last entry, seven months on

It’s been a busy week. On Wednesday a group of us who were in India met up again at the Meldreth Manor bike show. The guest of honour at our reunion was a brand new cycle designed specifically for wheelchair users, which we bought with the funds Mike and I raised from the Rajasthan Challenge.

Traditionally, wheelchair users have either had to watch people cycle or transfer themselves from their wheelchair to a bike seat, which can be uncomfortable and impractical. The new cycle has a platform on the front which accommodates their wheelchair, so now all the young people at Meldreth will be able to enjoy cycling for themselves.

And today Sam (one of our students) and I are just back from a trip around Meldreth Manor’s gardens on that very cycle. I can’t think of a better way to end our story...
